📝 Curriculum / Description

Week 1 – Introduction & Alphabets

  • Odia vowels and consonants (pronunciation + writing practice)

  • Correct strokes for letters

  • Simple words with pictures (e.g., ମା [maa] = mother, ବାପା [baapa] = father)

Week 2 – Greetings & Everyday Phrases

  • Saying hello, good morning, thank you, sorry, etc.

  • Short conversations (self-introduction, asking name, age)

  • Roleplay practice

Week 3 – Numbers & Colors

  • Counting 1–50 in Odia

  • Colors (red, blue, green, yellow, etc.) with objects (red apple, green leaf)

  • Memory games with flashcards

Week 4 – Animals & Birds

  • Common animals (cat, dog, cow, tiger, elephant)

  • Birds (parrot, crow, peacock, sparrow)

  • Fun quiz game: “Guess the Animal Sound in Odia”

Week 5 – Fruits & Vegetables

  • Local fruits (mango, banana, guava, papaya, jackfruit)

  • Vegetables (potato, tomato, brinjal, drumstick, pumpkin)

  • Cooking roleplay activity (naming ingredients in Odia)

Week 6 – Family & Home Vocabulary

  • Family members (mother, father, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather)

  • Home items (bed, table, chair, door, window)

  • Drawing activity: “Label My Home in Odia”

Week 7 – Songs & Rhymes in Odia

  • Traditional children’s rhymes

  • Simple Odia folk songs with clapping rhythm

  • Group performance practice

Week 8 – Review & Fun Assessment

  • Revision of alphabets, numbers, colors, animals, fruits, and family words

  • Group storytelling (short Odia sentences)

  • Certificates distribution & showcase
